Support a local food hub with shared cold storage and a commercial kitchen

Food hubs collect produce from local farms and sell it to schools, hospitals and stores. In Michigan State University’s 2025 national survey, more than half of food hubs said grants made their sales to institutions possible. We ask Sharp County to support a food hub with shared cold storage and a commercial kitchen that local growers and food businesses can rent.

When it reaches the goal it’s handed to the officials named above at a public meeting, and their answer is posted online. This is a petition to your elected officials — like the clipboard at the courthouse door.
